Ann Nadine Van Mierlo, known professionally as Ann Nadine, was born in Manila to a Filipino mother and a French father and grew up in Padua, where she lives with her family.

After pursuing an international education abroad, she chose to devote herself to illustration, transforming her passion for art into a career centered on research, experimentation, and visual storytelling. She loves observing everyday life and transforming it into imaginary worlds, where even imperfections find their place.

Her illustrations blend delicacy and emotion in a tapestry of details that invites the viewer to linger. She works with mixed media (primarily watercolor, gouache, pastels, and digital techniques), which she combines to create rich and evocative atmospheres.

In 2026, she published her debut picture book, *La Purtropperia*, for which she wrote the text and created the illustrations, embarking on a creative journey that continues today as she develops new projects.
