Ludovica Sodano

Ludovica Sodano was born in Riva del Garda in 1997. She studied advertising graphics at the Art School in Rovereto and subsequently moved to Bologna to enrol on the Comics and Illustration course at the Academy of Fine Arts. She completed her studies by graduating from the two-year specialisation course in Illustration for Publishing at the same Academy.

She works as an illustrator in the social sector, collaborating with various organisations and artists. Since 2021, she has been the illustrator for the Milan-based graphic design and communications agency Cat, Chicks & Buddies, creating the agency’s signature character design.

In 2022, her illustrations passed the initial selection for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair exhibition; in 2024, she was selected for the exhibition of the international ‘Notte di Fiaba’ competition.

Since 2022, she has been the cover illustrator for the fairy tales featured on Lorenzo Stivani’s ‘Favole nel Traffico’ podcast.

She enjoys experimenting, sometimes even working on short animations, but she best expresses her ideas through coloured pastels and gouache paints.

In 2025, Beccogiallo published Le emozioni raccontate alle bambine e ai bambini, written by Lorenzo Stivani.
